Can Kissing Help You Lose Weight?

A lot of people are asking the same question over and over again - can kissing help you lose weight? I already discussed the health benefits of kissing in one of my articles last year and this time, I'll discuss if this sensual activity can actually help you lose some weight.

With so many weight loss programs that you can do, kissing would certainly be your last option. Well, first and foremost, kissing would definitely not give you fast results unlike other popular weight loss regimen. That is a fact.

In recent study about philematology (study or science of kissing), a full five minutes of passionate kissing can burn between 5 to 12 calories, depending on the level of enjoyment. If you do the math, 12 calories is equal to a two minute run.

This is how "kissing diet" was born. The study added that you can actually lose 10 pounds a year by just doing this type of diet physical activity. An average 3 minutes kissing a day can burn at least 10 calories. Make it a three times habit daily and you can lose almost 11,000 calories which is equivalent to almost 4 pounds of excess fats.

It is also hard to press that you only intend to kiss your partner just to lose weight. So I suggest you have to keep it a secret and make all your kissing activities as passionate as it can be. Of course, kissing can lead to sex, which can even help you achieve your weight loss goal much easier.

Some studies even suggests that French kiss burns more calories than regular kissing. Why? It because your facial muscles are working together like an exercise workout. So next time you kiss, experts says that you use your tongue not only at the lips, but also to other parts of the body like the cheek, neck and somewhere else.

Kissing is not an immediate and the best program for weight loss, but it can certainly help you lose weight in a slow process. Kissing in conjunction with other weight loss regimens can work perfectly for your fitness program. Remember, kissing does not only gives health benefits but also strengthens relationships as well.
